Go to Internship for what?
Go to an internship for what. The first thing that I want to share with you is that an internship is a perfect stepping stone for you to familiarize yourself with the real working environment at enterprises. Maybe some of you have had a job since you were still in school. However, not everyone will have the time to interact with other individuals in the corporate environment. As I mentioned before, there will always be a gap between training and the reality of businesses.
An internship is your chance to learn about those differences. It can change your expectations of reality as well as give you insight into reality. During the internship, you will have the opportunity to recognize what is really imperfect, as well as understand what you have not experienced in the classroom.
The internship is also a process where you are allowed to become bold and develop skills that are more important at work. When you are still in the learning environment, your daily interaction objects are teachers and classmates. This environment can actually assume that collisions and contradictions are not much. The arising of conflicts at work or negotiations, agreements, and interactions between individuals will take place at a more frequent density. That gives you a harsher environment than school. What’s the value of an internship in a CV?
Going for an internship will also be a very valuable addition to your resume. The knowledge and first working experience in life have a great influence on your future career. Finding a suitable internship environment in a short period makes you much more confident in the job search process. It not only proves that you have really experienced the practical work but also is a highlight for the employer’s choice.
Why do I say this? Obviously, for two candidates with the same learning process and background, but one of them has done an internship at an enterprise with a similar size and type of operation to the employer’s business, the possibility of being your receipt will be much higher.
Employers will seem to feel that it is because you have practiced and experienced that environment, so when you apply and come back, you must have a knowledge base and a preparation for difficulties you may encounter. It gives employers more peace of mind because your choice will be less job-seeking to experience whether you are a good fit or not.
