Why don’t companies use all recruitment websites?

recruitment website

Besides free social networking websites, many businesses use paid recruitment websites. A paid recruitment website is being built to act as a bridge for employers and job seekers.

It is not possible to select all recruitment websites

As a business, you cannot choose to use all recruitment channels. The problem here is the budget for recruitment. Because every company has a certain limit of resources, the money spent on different departments is different. The only thing in common is that they have a certain limit in terms of spending.

Therefore, when choosing a paid recruitment channel for businesses, recruiters will consider many factors such as the average cost of a CV, the number of candidates who view the website each day, the number of visits, applying for jobs in industries, etc. This information is usually sent by the website customer services to businesses so that they have a choice with prices.

However, I will not go into this too deeply and want to emphasize that a business will only have certain paid recruitment channels.

Need to find the right business page to post a job

As a candidate, your job will be to find out how those recruitment channels are aimed at the target audience, and what vacancies are commonly posted on those websites. This is extremely important because when you find a suitable recruitment website, your chances of finding many suitable vacancies will also increase.

Finding the right target group that the website is targeting will greatly reduce your wasted time. For example, it is difficult for you to find a job for new graduates on CareerBuilder, or Dice will not have any positions related to the Construction industry.

However, there are certain limitations to paid websites. There is really no perfect recruitment channel, only the channel that matches the searcher audience or not.

Each page targets a specific audience

The most typical disadvantage of paid recruitment channels is that they… cost the business.

Therefore, for small-sized businesses or the budget for human resources, especially recruitment, has not been focused on, it is more likely that these businesses will not use recruitment channels that charge too much expensive.

The cost allocated to the HR department will have a certain ratio to the size and revenue of a business. Therefore, it will be difficult for you to find medium or small-sized companies on expensive websites even though these businesses are still looking for human resources daily.

However, not all paid recruitment channels have the same target audience. There are still several recruitment channels for small and medium-sized businesses to choose from. Although these channels may not be too famous, there are still a certain number of interested employers to choose from.

Therefore, with paid recruitment channels, choose the appropriate channel based on the correlation between business size/revenue and the cost of that recruitment channel.
